Captain One Tooth!

Weakening gums and loosing teeth is one of the many signs of aging in human. It is the same in animals.

EJ knows that since all the cats here are seniors and geriatric, their fangs have elongated but never imagine one without teeth.

Imagine the surprise and disbelief at discovering Captain Jack Sparrow HAWK without his front teeth, top and bottom that EJ simply have to share that discovery.

After snapping the photo below, EJ realised Captain Jack does have one tooth, not counting the fangs. Can you see it?

Captain Jack refused to open his mouth for another shot.

Now doesn't he resemble a mandrill baboon?

PS: EJ believes Captain Jack Sparrow HAWK's hard life in his younger days when he was a stray contributed partly to his weak gums and loss of teeth.

Oh, we are so sorry you have lost all your teeth. We hope that does not keep you from eating food and treats. We think you are much better looking than that mandrill baboon sweet Captain Jack. Hugs and nose kisses

Captain Jack is a handsome fellow, nothing like that ghastly baboon! I'm surprised he doesn't sink his fangs into your hand for suggesting such a thing. ;-)

Mommy loves to look at our teeth. So far, only Meow-Me has a bad fang and some crooked front teeth. Probably from her earlier life on the streets. :)

Have a lovely Sunday!

How can you compare Captain Jack with a baboon ? Angel Isis lost quickly all her teeth too : it's better to have no bad hurting teeth but a healthy gum that allows you to eat anyway. Purrs and cuddles

Its bad enough to loose the teeth and then to show the bare mouth to everyone is worst!! Have a nice day :)

Those are good looking fangs Capn Jack. It is not unusual for an older cat to lose their teeth and they can eat just fine. Our Squeaky who went to the bridge 2 years ago lost all hers and we never knew it until the vet looked into her mouth and she did just fine.
Take care and have a super Sunday.

Those look like awesome fangs to us! We still have our fangs, knock on wood, but we don't have the little ones and are missing others as well (Nicki had 8 extractions several years ago and Derry had 9). And we were only 3, respectively, when we lost ours! So we think you're doing pretty darned well!

Well, at least you still have your fangs, Captain Jack, and they look like they could cause some damage if you wanted to.

Cats sure don't like to have their teeth photographed! Dear old Captain Jack, he probably considered the whole process an affront to his dignity. Please tell him lots of people love him.

CJSH look fearsome!
Sweepy seems to be losing his fangs too which is why he is on soft diet of rice and chicken ;-)

Poor thing! He'll have to eat lots of soft tuna :-)
